Throughout 2025, Damen Yachting continued to shape the future of yacht building, delivering an exceptional series of achievements across its entire portfolio. From new launches and milestone deliveries to visionary full custom projects and pioneering refits, this was a year defined by creativity, collaboration and craftsmanship, where Damen Yachting’s passion for excellence set new benchmarks on every horizon.
Amels 80
The Amels 80 made a powerful debut with the delivery of PANGEA, the first in this all-new 80-metre Amels Limited Editions design. Delivered to her Owner from the Vlissingen City shipyard, PANGEA features exterior design by Espen Øino International and interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Her delivery marked a new chapter in the Amels story, defined by elegance, innovation and craftsmanship. The momentum continued with new hulls arriving in Vlissingen, the sale of another Amels 80 for delivery in 2028, and international recognition with a Yacht Style Award in Singapore.
Amels 60
The latest Amels 60, MEMORIES, joined the fleet and embarked on her maiden season, becoming the first in the series to feature a custom interior by Harrison Eidsgaard. Meanwhile, additional builds advanced steadily in Vlissingen and Gdynia. This 60-metre design continues to distinguish itself through timeless lines, eco-smart technology and enduring popularity among Owners and charterers alike.
The launch of the new SIXTY magazine offered a more immersive perspective on the Amels 60, delving into the yacht’s balance of space, lifestyle and design flexibility. Featuring three interior concepts by Harrison Eidsgaard, Winch Design and Laura Sessa, the edition illustrated how Owners can tailor the yacht to suit everything from tranquil wellness moments to vibrant social life on board, underscoring the true versatility of the design.
Amels Full Custom
The year’s most defining moment came with the launch and sea trials of the 120-metre Project Tanzanite, the largest Amels Full Custom ever built. Designed by Espen Øino, this remarkable yacht represents the height of bespoke yacht construction, brought to life by more than a thousand specialists and the collective expertise of Damen Yachting’s shipyards and global partners.
Xplorer
The first Xplorer 60 made her much-anticipated debut, a bold 60-metre superyacht designed to explore the world in complete autonomy and comfort. Delivered alongside her YS53 companion EMOTIONAL, the Xplorer 60 AFTER YOU brings together exterior design by Azure Yacht Design, naval architecture from Damen Yachting and luxury interiors by H2 Yacht Design. She is the fourth Xplorer delivered to date and is available for charter, offering a rare combination of range, capability and refined living.
With another Xplorer 60 already in build and available for delivery, the design continues to advance Damen Yachting’s vision for the future of luxury exploration.
Yacht Support
The YS53 series continued to thrive, with new launches, sea trials and confirmed sales. The delivery of EMOTIONAL, the third YS53 to join the fleet, and the announcement of another YS53 under construction at Damen Yachting’s dedicated Yacht Support and Xplorer build facility in Antalya underscored the growing demand for versatile, adventure-ready support vessels. With exterior, interior and naval architecture all crafted in-house by Damen Yachting, EMOTIONAL provides additional crew capacity, extended helicopter facilities, generous storage for toys and tenders, and valuable logistical support.
Refit
2025 also marked a year of transformation within the Refit division. The relaunch of ALBATROSS, now sailing as MOONSTONE, showcased Damen Yachting’s mastery in revitalising existing yachts to exceed modern standards. Originally built by Delta Marine, ALBATROSS underwent an extensive 26-month refit, featuring a striking exterior redesign, hull length extension, and completely renewed interiors. Her transformation into MOONSTONE highlights the yard’s deep technical expertise and its commitment to evolving with the needs and aspirations of each Owner.
Alongside this milestone project, the Refit division continued to support the fleet with precision and care. The 74-metre Amels 242 AVANTI recently completed her scheduled maintenance ensuring she is in peak condition for the seasons ahead. Meanwhile, the Amels SYNTHESIS is undergoing a comprehensive five-year service programme, combining key technical upgrades with a full exterior respray. Together, these projects underline Damen Yachting’s ongoing dedication to delivering long-term service, craftsmanship and reliability across every stage of a yacht’s lifecycle.
Meaningful connection, collaboration and celebration through our 2025 events
From Dubai to London and Singapore to Monaco, Damen Yachting’s 2025 calendar was defined by meaningful encounters and a shared passion for the world of yachting. Each event, whether on the water or on land, reflected a commitment to creativity, craftsmanship and community. Bringing together clients, Captains, designers and partners, these gatherings offered the opportunity to exchange ideas, celebrate achievements and share the art of yacht building.
Boat Shows and Industry Events
The year began in February at the Dubai International Boat Show, where Superyacht Avenue welcomed a record number of visitors. As a meeting point between East and West, Dubai once again proved the ideal setting to present our latest developments and connect with clients, Captains and partners.
In March, the team travelled to the Palm Beach International Boat Show, hosting guests across two distinctive locations. The Palm Beach Atelier provided an inspiring setting that connected art, design and yachting, featuring a private exhibition by Annelies Damen and the reveal of three new interior concepts for the Amels 60. A series of intimate events and gatherings made Palm Beach one of the year’s most engaging showcases.
April shifted the spotlight to Asia with the Singapore Yachting Festival, where Damen Yachting served as main sponsor of the Superyacht Lounge and accepted a Yacht Style Award for the Amels 80. The week offered opportunities for dialogue, collaboration and insight into one of the industry’s most dynamic regions.
Shortly after, the Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit in Hong Kong broadened the conversation further, with Damen Yachting contributing perspectives on sustainability, innovation and long-range cruising.
In June, London set the stage for a landmark edition of Women in Yachting. Hosted by Winch Design, this stand-alone gathering brought together female leaders from across the industry for open discussion on leadership, equality and mentorship, marking a meaningful moment in the evolution of the event.
Autumn began with a major presence at the Monaco Yacht Show, where three newly delivered yachts: the Amels 60 MEMORIES, Xplorer 60 AFTER YOU and YS53 EMOTIONAL, formed a powerful line-up in Port Hercules. With additional Amels yachts on display across the show and the interactive SIXTY augmented-reality experience at the Damen Yachting stand, Monaco once again showcased the full range of our craftsmanship and capability.
In October, the team crossed the Atlantic for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where the Amels 242 CASINO ROYALE welcomed guests at Pier 66 Marina. The setting provided a serene backdrop for detailed conversations on the Amels Limited Editions, Xplorer and Yacht Support ranges, marking a strong finale to the global boat show season.
Fleet Engagement
Throughout 2025, Damen Yachting brought Captains, crew, colleagues and co-makers together through a series of moments that strengthened our community both on the water and at the yard.
The year began with our bi-annual Captains’ Event in the Netherlands, where Captains from across the Amels, Xplorer, Yacht Support and Refit fleet reunited for a weekend of camaraderie, classic cars and shared experience, a fitting start to the new yachting season.
Not long after, King’s Day offered a vibrant celebration in the heart of Amsterdam as the Captains and crew of the yachts in build joined us on the canals to mark the birthday of King Willem-Alexander, enjoying the city’s lively atmosphere from the water.
As the year continued, Halloween brought a burst of creativity and colour, with Captains and crew arriving in extraordinary costumes for an evening of music and high spirits in Vlissingen.
In October, the focus shifted to Ibiza for the ACREW Crew Awards, where Amels proudly served as Gold Sponsor and celebrated six finalists from across our fleet.
Internal Events
Our internal gatherings played an equally meaningful role. The Summer BBQ brought colleagues and their families together by the water for an afternoon of relaxed enjoyment, live music and friendly competitions, a moment to recognise what we achieve together and the support that makes it possible.
On 13 November, colleagues, partners and children joined a special Love Our Oceans screening of David Attenborough’s OCEAN, highlighting the importance of healthy seas and the shared responsibility to protect them. As part of the broader Love Our Oceans platform, the initiative brings together social, environmental and health-focused efforts across Damen Yachting. Those wishing to stay involved are invited to join the Love Our Oceans community.
