On the Road
2023 is fast becoming the year of live events! Something we have all missed greatly over the last few years. We may have become accustomed to digital networking but let’s face it, nothing beats meeting or catching up with clients, crew, industry colleagues and friends in person. Here are the highlights of this year so far – and there have been a lot!
Superyacht Design Festival
In February we swapped the usual yachting event locations to join Boat International in the mountains of Cortina for the Superyacht Design Festival. An inspirational few days focused on the latest trends and innovations in yacht design, a celebration of the latest and greatest our industry is working on and above all a welcomed chance to kick off the year with industry partners, co-makers and fellow yacht builders.

Dubai Boat Show
Early March was host to our largest ever presence at the Dubai International Boat Show and saw the introduction of our revised show styling which truly reflects the values that run to the core of Damen Yachting. We welcomed visitors, clients and their guests across the 5 days of the show to our home away from home in the Emirates. Our showcase of detailed scale models once again demonstrated the diversity of our portfolio.
Amongst the yacht designs on display were the Amels 60 and Amels 80 Limited Editions, both of which sport exterior design by Espen Øino and feature cutting-edge technology, including hybrid power and propulsion. At the same time, they retain the build process that has made the Amels Limited Editions a success. Our Yacht Support 53 proved popular on the stand, especially given the versatility it offers clients looking for fast cruising support in the region. It was however the SX 60 from the award-winning SeaXplorer range that stole the show – perhaps somewhat encouraged by talk of our private SeaXplorer Desert Exploration day which took place prior to the show starting!

Palm Beach International Boat Show
We swapped the desert for the Floridian coast later in March as we made our debut as an exhibitor within the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Our team welcomed visitors from around the world and showcased the Damen Yachting portfolio with a series of detailed scale models. Represented by the models were examples of the Amels superyachts, the award-winning SeaXplorer explorer yachts and the Yacht Support Vessel range.

Women in Yachting
During the Palm Beach International Boat Show, we were delighted to host the first US Edition of Damen Yachting’s Women in Yachting events. An initiative first introduced back in 2019, this US Edition of Women in Yachting follows up on previous events held around the world bringing together leading females in the industry. With its three core values of Ownership, Inspiration & Diversity, Women in Yachting provides a platform where experiences can be shared, and stereotypes are broken down. A huge thank you to all the ladies who attended the event, making it a great success.
