A Rare Convergence of Projects at the Vlissingen Yard
At the Damen Yachting yard in Vlissingen, an exceptional range of projects is currently taking shape. Across the yard, multiple yachts are in progress at the same time, each at a different phase of their journey. From projects that have recently arrived for final outfitting to those nearing completion and preparing to set sail, the full build process can be experienced in one place. From the latest Amels 80s and Amels 60 to Xplorer 60 AFTER YOU, YS53 EMOTIONAL and Amels Refit SYNTHESIS as well as two Full Customs, the breadth of the portfolio becomes immediately apparent.
Portfolio in Full View
From Amels Limited Editions to Xplorer, Yacht Support, Full Custom and Refit, the portfolio reflects a range of yacht types, each defined by its own purpose and character. Seeing them side by side in Vlissingen brings this diversity into clear focus. What makes this moment stand out is the contrast between stages. In one area, steel is still being shaped. Further along, interiors are being installed. Nearby, a yacht returns to the yard for refit, preparing it for its next chapter. Walking through the yard, one moves from one phase to another within minutes.
“This is a moment of pride for Damen Yachting, bringing a range of projects into view that reflect who we are and what we stand for. We offer our clients a choice of yachting solutions, allowing each Owner to choose what suits them, while relying on a proven build philosophy.
Each yacht, in its own shape and form, is designed to enable Owners to enjoy their time on the water on their own terms. In this setting, that commitment becomes tangible, showing how we continue to deliver on our promises,” says Rose Damen, Managing Director.

Built in Parallel
Moments like this make the scale of the work easier to understand, not only in terms of the yachts themselves, but also in the number of teams, disciplines and processes working simultaneously across the yard. Seeing these projects side by side also offers a clearer understanding of how they progress, providing insight beyond drawings and conversations. It shows how different types of yacht move through their respective phases, each with its own pace and complexity.
What becomes clear in Vlissingen is not only the range and diversity of projects, but the continuity between them. New build, refit and Full Custom are not separate disciplines, but part of a single environment where Damen Yachting teams, co-makers and crew operate side by side, with knowledge and experience moving naturally between them. It is this close collaboration that allows projects to progress with precision, while maintaining the level of detail each requires.
Private Viewing Event at the Yard
On 16 April, Damen Yachting welcomed brokers and partners to an invitation-only exclusive Private Viewing Event. The day provided first-hand insight into the breadth of the portfolio and how projects take shape across the yard. Walking through the facilities, guests experienced the diversity of yachts up close, from final outfitting to those nearing completion, as well as refit projects preparing for their next chapter. The visit highlighted Damen Yachting’s approach, combining a range of yachting solutions with a consistent build philosophy.
