Laura Sessa’s interior for the Amels 60 is designed for an Owner who values expression over convention. Elegant and contemporary, yet unmistakably individual, the concept combines strong architectural lines and sculptural forms with graphic patterns, striking contrasts and a confident use of colour. Refined materials, tactile finishes and bespoke furniture create spaces that feel both sophisticated and inviting.
The original creative spark came from an unexpected source: André Courrèges, the fashion designer whose futuristic work helped define the visual language of the 1960s and 1970s. For Laura Sessa, however, this was never intended as a retro revival.

Her approach is rooted in the belief that luxury should feel personal. Handles, rugs, furniture and decorative elements are considered as part of one complete composition, allowing craftsmanship and individuality to be expressed at every scale.
At the same time, the interior remains responsive to life on board. Laura’s experience in both sailing and motor yachts has given her an instinctive understanding of proportion, movement and intelligent space utilisation. Expressive colours are balanced by more muted tones where calm and continuity are needed.
Inspiration without Boundaries
Laura draws ideas from nature, cinema, art, music, travel and the materials she encounters in everyday life. Her connection to the sea began while growing up in Greece, while her architectural training and early career introduced her to some of the most influential figures in yacht design. Her inspirations may be diverse, but they are brought together through an enduring appreciation of authenticity.
“My brain is from Northern Europe, but my heart belongs to the South. I draw inspiration from everywhere—nature, films, museums, art, music, and travel. I have 1,400 roses in my garden; walking among them inspires me—the gradient of colours, the beauty in each petal. I love natural materials: authentic fabrics like cotton and silk, and genuine leather. My projects speak for themselves.”

Natural fabrics such as cotton and silk, genuine leather and richly tactile finishes contribute to an interior that feels sophisticated without becoming impersonal. The result is not a neutral backdrop. It is a design canvas with character, giving its future Owner the freedom to shape key details and introduce personal decorative touches.
Main Salon
Grand by Design
Brushed white oak and treated wood with an antique mirror effect define the Main Salon and dining area, balancing crisp contemporary lines with timeless warmth. Layers of neutral colours in the soft furnishings, carpet and artwork brings the space to life. Generous 2.2m ceilings, a 55 sq-m footprint and light from trapezoid windows create a truly grand entertaining space.
Owners Suite
Away from it All
Forward on Main Deck, the full-beam Owners Suite complete with lounge and folding balcony is a private retreat with magnificent views. Natural oak, stainless steel and lacquered finishes create an evocative, private space to unwind and the 7 sq-m folding balcony terrace creates the perfect space for a serene, secluded breakfast. The adjoining Suite is ideal for VIP guests, children, an office or gym for those looking to extend this 77 sq-m (830 sq ft) private Suite further.
Bridge Deck Lounge
Seamless by Design
Naturalised painted oak, contrasting tones and lacquered finishes are lifted by pops of colour, connecting the interior to the ocean beyond and creating an inspiring, uplifting space to relax, socialise and entertain. Sliding glass doors open flush to the floor on Bridge Deck Aft — a feature also found on Main Deck aft and the Owners Suite.
